Zinc-magnesium S220GD
By halving the amount of zinc and adding small amounts of magnesium and aluminium, zinc-magnesium steel is a cost-effective alternative to traditional hot-dip galvanised sheet. This provides better weldability and scratch resistance, less rub-off, less friction during deep drawing and roll-forming, and reduced environmental impact through lower zinc consumption. Zinc-magnesium steels provide the best corrosion protection in exposed environments.
This grade is available for processing and delivery in thicknesses of 0.80 - 2.00 mm. Talk to one of our sales representatives if you have needs beyond our stocked dimensions.

The values are based on samples taken transverse to the rolling direction. *For ≤0.70 mm, a value two units lower applies.
